AEG Safety Notice

There has been a recent safety notice posted on the AEG website as follows:

  • "Our quality control program has identified that a faulty component presents a potential risk of overheating or fire in some Electrolux dishwashers. No product bought before June 2006 is affected. The Model, Product Number Code (PNC) and Serial Number of the dishwasher are printed on the rating plate on the right side of the dishwasher door as indicated in the drawing below. It is also printed on the user manual which came with the appliance. By typing in the details of your dishwasher in the fields below and clicking "check", you can check whether your dishwasher is an affected Model
    If your product is affected, please call 0800 707 6258 between 8.00am and 6.00pm Monday to Friday or between 9.00am to 5.00pm Saturday and Sunday, in order to arrange a free-of-charge visit by a service engineer. You can also e-mail your details including name, address, telephone number, dishwasher model, Product Number Code (PNC) and serial number to safetynotice@electrolux.co.uk
    Please take care to ensure that you enter the Product Number Code (PNC) and serial number correctly. We cannot be responsible for failing to attend a product that is the subject of this intervention if you provide us with the wrong information.
    Please note: If you are the owner of an affected model you must stop using your dishwasher and switch off the appliance.
    This safety notice does not affect any other Electrolux appliance. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your co-operation"
